Birthday Hunter is a directory people trust to get free meals, drinks, gifts, and birthday discounts. This page is the public record of our sources and claim checks, how we handle corrections, and what separates an editorial listing from a sponsored one.

Sources and claim requirements
Birthday Hunter combines merchant sources, curated listings and published guides. For a claim decision, use the linked merchant terms and the review date on that specific guide. A catalog refresh or page update does not mean every merchant was rechecked. Our research publishes dated rows and a reproducible methodology so readers can inspect the evidence.
Sourcing
Listings come from merchant sources, curated records and published articles. Source coverage differs by listing. For a claim decision, prefer the current merchant terms over a catalog summary or another shopper's experience.
Verification before listing
Sourced editorial guides link to the merchant pages used to check eligibility. Look for membership, purchase requirements, redemption dates and location exclusions. A source link is evidence for its specific claim, not proof that every location has stock.
Re-verification cadence
Review dates belong to the source checks stated on a guide. Feed refreshes, builds and automated page updates do not establish a new merchant review. Recheck current terms before traveling or buying.
User spot-checks
Community reports can identify changed terms or local availability. A dated redemption is evidence of that visit; it is not a guarantee for another shopper or location.
Corrections policy
Send the page URL and the changed merchant terms to hello@birthdayhunter.com. Corrections should follow the supporting evidence. Research revisions identify withdrawn interpretations and retain dated source snapshots.
Paid placements
Sponsored offers (ads, paid placements, promoted raffles) are labeled "Sponsored" in the UI and never appear in the core birthday freebies directory unless they also pass the same verification as unpaid listings. A brand paying us does not change whether, or where, they appear in the core listings.
What we publish
- Free or discounted offers available on or around a user's birthday.
- Offers available in the United States, with a US-based brand or US franchise location.
- Offers that a typical consumer can claim without specialized credentials (no business, trade, or licensed-professional-only deals).
What we won't publish
- Offers that require the user to give payment details to "unlock" a "free" birthday item.
- Deals that depend on purchasing another item at regular price ("BOGO") unless the birthday portion is clearly the free side.
- Offers we cannot reproduce in the actual brand enrollment flow, even if a brand has publicly claimed them.
- Sweepstakes or giveaways where the odds, prize value, or eligibility are not clearly disclosed.
