From Saved Draft to Shareable Birthday Fund: Finish Every Step

You have written a title and description, pressed Save, and returned to your birthday plans. It can feel like the job is finished. On Birthday Hunter, that action saves a draft; there are still account and review steps before the fund is ready to share.

Here is how to read those stages without confusing a saved page with an approved fund.

Draft means your idea is saved

Open your Birthday Funds and read the setup guidance on the fund. Check that the title clearly describes the wish and the description says what gifts will support.

Saving is useful if you want to come back later. It does not automatically submit your page for review, complete bank details, or make the fund ready for contributions.

Bank setup happens through Stripe

Use the bank setup action to open the Stripe form and complete the requested identity and bank information. Enter sensitive details only in the appropriate setup form, never in your public fund story.

When you return, use “Check setup status” and read the result. Leaving the form is not itself proof that all requirements were met. If the result asks for more information, return to setup and finish that request.

Submitted information is not the same as enabled transfers

A status can indicate that information has been submitted while checks or additional requirements still affect the account. Read the next action shown rather than assuming every completed screen means money can reach your bank immediately.

If a status check fails, retry when the connection is working. If it continues failing or the next step is unclear, contact support with the error text and the fund details. Do not share private bank information in a public post or message thread.

Submit the fund for review separately

Once the page allows you to continue, review the setup fee and submit the fund for Birthday Hunter review. A charged setup fee applies even if the fund receives no gifts. Completing the Stripe form does not perform this submission for you.

Check that the fund has moved out of draft and into review. A pending review is not a signal to keep paying or repeatedly submit the same page. Wait for the review result and follow any requested changes.

Share after approval

Use the approved sharing link and open it to confirm it is the right page. Friends can give without creating an account and see added fees at checkout. Give them the purpose and the link, with a clear choice not to contribute.

There is no reliable “live in three minutes” promise when account checks and review are involved. Read the Birthday Fund overview, start early, and finish the steps shown on your own fund.
