Birthday Funds give that answer a home on Birthday Hunter. Create a page explaining your wish, finish bank setup, submit it for review, and share the approved link with people who want to give.

Put the reason next to the request

A cash gift feels more specific when someone can picture what it will help you do. “My birthday train trip” tells a story. A plain request for money leaves friends to fill in the details themselves.

Your description does not need a dramatic backstory. Explain the plan in your own words, say whether gifts will cover all or part of it, and leave contributing optional. If you are still deciding on the exact purchase, make that clear too.

One wish can include several people

A fund gives friends and relatives a shared destination for their individual gifts. Someone can contribute toward the idea without choosing a size, color, delivery address, or exact item. Friends can give without a Birthday Hunter account.

That does not turn your birthday into a target everyone has to reach. Keep the celebration separate from the fund, and welcome calls, messages, and time together from people who are not giving money.

A saved page is the beginning

Saving the title and description keeps a draft. It does not automatically open the fund for contributions. Complete the Stripe bank setup, check the result when you return, and submit the fund for review when the page lets you continue. Share after approval.

Read the setup fee before submitting and paying. A charged setup fee applies even if you receive no gifts. Contributors review their selected gift plus added fees at checkout, and bank-transfer timing depends on verification and account status.

Start with the wish you actually have

You do not need an expensive goal to use a fund. A class, a small project, or part of a weekend away can be enough. The best description is one you would be comfortable saying to a friend.
