FAQs, Turning 16 in Ohio
Do Ohio chains require ID for the free birthday drink at age 16?
16-year-olds in Ohio can claim every non-alcoholic birthday freebie at national chains. Birthday drink offers are gated to 21+, so they don't apply at this age.
Are there Ohio-specific birthday freebies that don't exist nationally?
Yes. Ohio adds Skyline Chili, Graeter's Ice Cream, and Donatos to the standard national lineup. Most Ohio chains honor sign-up birthday rewards with email or app verification only. These regional offers stack on top of the national chain birthday programs, so a typical Ohio birthday haul is bigger than what a national-only checklist suggests.
